When I started volunteering at my child's school, I had no idea what I was getting into. My son was always very well-behaved, but that didn't seem to be the case with the other children. Some children didn't seem to have a good grip on what it meant to behave well in public, and it was really frustrating. I realized that if I wanted to be successful, I needed to work on my own level of patience. I started paying closer attention to how I responded when kids acted inappropriately, and it really paid off in the end. This blog is all about working with kids in a more positive, productive way.
